Ferguson Group appoints East African partner

The Ferguson Group, specialists in the rental of DNV 2.7-1/EN12079 certified containers, tanks, baskets, refrigeration containers, accommodation and engineering modules to the offshore energy sector, is pleased to announce a new partnership with - Alpha Logistics Services (EPZ) Ltd (www.alphaafrica.com), extending its reach across East Africa.

Alpha Logistics is a division of the Alpha Group – Marine Division, which provides efficient and cost effective solutions through its operational bases in Kenya, Tanzania, Somalia, Rwanda, DRC, Uganda and Mozambique.

The company has particular expertise in logistics (marine and land), supply base services, offshore engineering, rig erections and moves, drilling machine tools shop, plant hire, civil and structural works, fabrication services, subsea works and  innovative space solutions which aligns it well with the extensive product and service offering of Ferguson Group.

As part of the new agreement, Alpha Logistics will offer the complete product range of Ferguson Group and its IceBlue Refrigeration Offshore division.

The Group already has a partnership agreement in place with Dominion Gas in Ghana covering West Africa. Alpha Logistics will provide the full range of Ferguson Group products from is facilities in Mombasa, Kenya to provide support for a growing client requirement in East Africa.

Offshore Equipment Rental Specialist Opens New Singapore Office

The Ferguson Group, specialists in the rental of containers, accommodation modules and workspace modules to the offshore energy industry, announced today its move to new facilities in Singapore. The Group has relocated its Asian operations to a larger purpose-built facility at the Loyang Offshore Supply Base in the industrial area of Loyang, Singapore.

The new facilities allows the Group to offer its range of DNV 2.7-1/ EN 12079 certified offshore containers, refrigeration containers, accommodation and workspace modules to support the Asia Pacific region.

Simon de Koning, Country Manager at Ferguson Group Singapore, said: “Since establishing a presence in Singapore in 2009, we have experienced excellent progress and the launch of our new office and yard signifies the company’s rapid growth and expansion within the region.

“We have had exceptionally high demand for our range of containers and accommodation modules in recent months and the investment into the new facility enables us to continue supporting clients within the region.”

The relocation comes as part of the Group’s continued international growth, which includes recent expansion in Western Australia.

Ferguson Group announces new offshore product at Australasian Oil and Gas Exhibition 2013

The Ferguson Group, specialists in the rental of offshore containers, refrigerated containers, engineering modules and accommodation solutions to the offshore oil and gas sector, is set to promote its extensive range of products and services at the 2013 Australasian Oil and Gas Exhibition and Conference (AOG) in Perth, WA.

The Ferguson Group is exhibiting at the event on stand K26 during 20-22 February, at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre.

Delegates will have the opportunity to meet with members from Ferguson Group Australia to learn more about the products available in the region, and globally, including a new type of refrigeration container from its IceBlue Refrigeration Offshore division.

IceBlue Refrigeration Offshore, launches a new product to its range of offshore refrigerated containers.  The new 6m containers offer a unique flexible system allowing for single or dual temperature zoned compartments. James Scullion, Business Development Executive said: “Our product range is constantly evolving in line with client needs and feedback, and our technical team works hard to integrate regional requirements into our products.

“Our twin-zoned containers are new to the market and are already proving extremely popular, both with new and existing customers. Exhibiting at AOG 2013 will provide a superb forum for us to introduce the new features to visitors.”

Since its launch in 2011 the Ferguson Group’s accommodation service vessel, ASV Pioneer, has been involved in an offshore cable laying project and is now deployed in the Mediterranean Sea on a contract with Titan-Micoperi in support of the Costa Concordia Salvage operation.
ASV Pioneer provides an accommodation complex including 2 person cabins complete with en-suite facilities, galley, mess, Gym, medical and recreational facilities, manufactured to DNV 2.7-1/EN12079 standards.  In addition the vessel provides a large working open deck area measuring 1100m2 with a load capacity of 15 tonnes/m2.
Recent expansion in Western Australia has included relocating one of its four bases to new larger facilities in Perth, the next phase of group’s expansion is the development of a new base in Karratha which is scheduled to come online during the latter part of 2013. Furthermore the group announced the appointment of David Gagiero as Finance Manager at its Perth WA base, along with the renaming of its operating company from Ferguson Seacabs Pty Ltd to Ferguson Group Australia Pty Ltd.

IceBlue Refrigeration Offshore launches NEW dual zoned refrigerated container

IceBlue Refrigeration Offshore, part of the Ferguson Group, a specialist in providing refrigeration and freezer solutions for offshore food transportation and storage is pleased to announce its new 6m dual zone refrigerated/chiller container.

Following extensive market research IceBlue Refrigeration Offshore has developed a new 6m dual zone refrigerated/chiller container manufactured to DNV 2.7-1/EN12079 for the offshore energy sector. 

The new product offers a flexible solution, in one container, for transporting a range of perishable foodstuff that requires specific storage conditions. Capable of providing cooling in either a single or dual zone compartment simultaneously in a -30oC to +20oC ambient temperature range.  The IceBlue 6m dual zone refrigerated/chiller container provides temperature control for transportation and storage, suitable for use in a range of climatic conditions.

Offering a built-in easily moveable partition to convert the dual zone container from a single to a dual compartmentalized container with an independent controller that is configurable to separately regulate the temperature.
